Absent Light is the fourth studio album by the metalcore band Misery Signals. Released in 2013, the album was crowd-funded and largely self-released by the band. Forging on with their classic metalcore take, the album features 11 tracks, including standout songs like "A Glimmer Of Hope," "Luminary," and "Ursa Minor." Sonically, Absent Light delivers the band's signature blend of heavy, aggressive guitar riffs, blistering breakdowns, and harsh vocals, balanced with complex melodic lead guitar work, atmospheric textures, and progressive song structures. It is the last Misery Signals album to feature Karl Schubach on vocals.
