More info:

Left Alone serves as a brooding, masterfully paced sophomore full-length from Atlanta instrumental post-rock outfit Of The Vine. Following their 2015 debut East-the-Water, the Georgia quintet spent five meticulous years sculpting a darker, more expansive sonic architecture that navigates grief, solitude, and cathartic release. The record rejects impatient, formulaic crescendos, choosing instead to let compositions unfold with slow-burning, cinematic restraint. Sparkling clean guitar motifs float over vast washes of reverb and delay, gradually thickening into colossal, fuzz-drenched walls of sound where heavy post-metal weight collides with shoegaze-infused beauty. Drum tracking hits with deep, resonant authority, locking tightly with subterranean bass lines to ground soaring tremolo guitars and subtle, ambient synth drones on monolithic centerpieces like "I'm Bitter About It," "Gillian," and "Fade." Pressed to vinyl with exceptional dynamic range and dead-silent backgrounds, the physical cut ensures that the quietest, fragile guitar decays breathe naturally before giving way to room-shaking, immersive sonic heaviness.
