More Info:
Making Noise, Living Fast is an unapologetic, neck-wrecking slab of pure groove-thrash worship from Botucatu, São Paulo’s HellgardeN. Wearing their early-to-mid-1990s influences proudly on their sleeves, the Brazilian outfit bypasses slick modern metalcore gloss in favor of the razor-sharp riff mechanics and swagger that defined classic Pantera, Exhorder, and Chaos A.D.-era Sepultura.

The sonic engine room is driven by guitarist Caick Gabriel, who dials in a biting, razor-wire guitar tone loaded with searing pinch harmonics, aggressive down-picked rhythms, and blistering, whammy-screaming solos that pay explicit tribute to Dimebag Darrell. Beneath the guitar onslaught, bassist Guilherme Biondo and drummer Matheus Barreiros lock into muscular, syncopated mid-tempo double-kick grooves, providing an ironclad rhythmic pocket that keeps tracks like "Spit on Hipocrisy," "Evolution or Destruction," and the adrenaline-fueled title cut moving with relentless forward punch. Frontman Diego Pascuci belts over the top with a raw, gravel-gargling bark reminiscent of Phil Anselmo and Chuck Billy, delivering blue-collar rage and street-level defiance. Cut to vinyl, the album's analog punch and live-room low-end hit with visceral, chest-thumping weight—a throwback power-groove clinic that sounds like it was ripped straight off a dusty 1992 cassette demo and supercharged for the turntable.
