More Info:
Heaven and Hell represents one of the greatest, most miraculous artistic resurrections in heavy metal history. Following the departure of Ozzy Osbourne and years of substance-fueled stagnation, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward enlisted former Rainbow frontman Ronnie James Dio, completely reinventing Black Sabbath’s sonic identity for a new decade. Overseen by veteran Queen producer Martin Birch at Criteria Studios in Miami and Studio Ferber in Paris, the production sheds the murky, muddy grit of the late-’70s albums in favor of razor-sharp separation, sparkling high-end clarity, and punchy, tight low-end weight.
