Emerging directly from the Pacific Northwest's fertile crust and anarcho-punk underground with members tracing roots through Signals Lost and Defiance, the four-piece forged a sound that married ferocious punk velocity with the atmospheric, shadowy gloom of classic 1980s UK goth-punk legends like The Mob, Skeletal Family, and Killing Joke. Recorded and mixed in Portland with engineer Stan Wright at Buzz or Howl Studios, the production balances aggressive, tactile punch with cold, reverberant space. Drummer Nick Bassett and bassist Lee Carr anchor the low end with relentless, forward-charging motorik rhythms and thick, gritty basslines, establishing a stormy foundation for Stan Wright's chiming, chorus-drenched guitar leads, which slice through the mix with icy flanger trails and delay-soaked arpeggios. Frontwoman Alex Carro commands the center of the stereo field, delivering her impassioned, echo-kissed vocals with equal parts melodic grace, fierce conviction, and haunting desperation on centerpiece cuts like \"Dirge,\" \"Magus,\" \"By My Own Hand,\" and the driving title track. Cut cleanly to vinyl with punchy transient detail, balanced mid-range bite, and generous analog headroom, Weaver captures a band operating at the absolute peak of their compositional power, delivering an essential, timeless pillar of modern Pacific Northwest darkwave and post-punk.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Grumpy Frog Records","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":52879222571239,"sku":null,"price":18.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0799\/2665\/7255\/files\/AFW.jpg?v=1792502563","url":"https:\/\/grumpyfrogrecords.com\/products\/arctic-flowers-weaver","provider":"Grumpy Frog Records","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
